Mooey CHRISTmas Everyone

With dear missionary friends visiting from the Philippines and too many other things going on, I’ve decided to extend a little grace to myself and give both me and each of you a break for the rest of this month from our Around the Cross-Dubya blog. I’ll be continuing to pray for each of you daily and checking in on “anti-social” media when time allows and will get right back on the job after the New Year’s.

So, from me, Ms. Diane, Mr. John, Bubba the chocolate lab, Archie the screeching dog, Magic and Elpis the donkeys, Mavric and his girls, and all our little chicken friends and barn cats, we wish you a very Merry CHRISTmas and a safe and blessing-filled New Year. Remember to keep CHRIST in CHRISTmas everyone.

God’s blessings,

  1. Wishing you and Miss Diane and everyone on that blessed farm a truly beautiful and blessed Christmas celebrating the birth of our wonderful Lord and Savior! I will miss your posts but you richly deserve to take a much needed break.

  2. To begin with, I agree with Gail–picture absolutely knocks it out of the park. It’s so you, and so Cross-Dubya. My other comment is that I’m shocked. I was convinced that the term “off” was not in the list of procedural possibilities for you. I had to read it several times to assure myself that you actually employed the term. I realize that you’re only applying it to your weekly articles, but still, it demands some mental adjustments on our part.

But, as far as the entire staff around the Gallagher compound is concerned, all two of us are praising God for your decision–not that we won’t miss our weekly visits to the ranch, but we’re glad you’re taking something off your overflowing plate and allowing yourself to focus a bit more on blessing your guests and enjoying time with them. Diane and I are celebrating along with you and the Cross-Dubya family and praying that all of you have a Merry, Happy, Peaceful, Holy, Heartwarming, and Soul-enriching Christmas.

    1. LOL… Thanks Mr. Ron. I wish I could tell you that I had a restful and peaceful break, and am all rejuvenated after the New Year, but reality was, I was burning the candle on both ends and the sides and something had to give. Since I couldn’t give up caregiving, my Christian writing was sacrificed to make room for other writing and activities. God understood, and approved through prayer.

  3. And a very Merry Christmas to you and Miss Diane and Mr. John and all the memorable creatures at the Cross Dubya. You have brought them and God’s word alive for us!

  5. J.D., the photo is the absolute best! Made me smile! You need the rest, we all do. We need to quiet ourselves, linger before our Lord a little more, and receive Him.

May you all have a blessed Christmas!

  6. Good for you. Glad to see you are giving yourself a little break. I don’t know how you do a weekly blog anyway! I can barely manage a bi-weekly blog. I do hope you enjoyed your Christmas with family and friends. And a blessed start to 2024, my friend.

  7. Hey, I forgot to mention how much I like those Santa hats on the moo babies. Very cute. Nice pose, too. You must have a quick camera.
